MiaoDao 苗刀, originally was called the Chinese Shuang Sho Dao 雙手刀, a very special Chinese weapon that existed since the Han Dynasty (202-220 BC), elevated and enhanced in the Ming Dynasty by general Qi Ji-Guang 戚繼光 to fight off the coastal Japanese Pirates. Although MiaoDao visually looks like an oversized Katana, but due to the size and length of the sword body, the usage of MiaoDao requires the entire body to drive, a bit similar to that of a DaQiang 大槍.
